A Strategic Focus
Telecommunications infrastructure is one of Clyde Services' declared strategic priorities. As featured in Cranes & Lifting magazine: "We're committed to servicing the telecommunications industry with tailored equipment and skilled labourers."
New Zealand's telecommunications network relies on towers, masts, and infrastructure in locations that are difficult to access with conventional equipment. Hilltop cell sites, rural transmission towers, bridge-mounted fibre runs, urban rooftop installations — every one presents a unique access and lifting challenge.
The Magni RTH 6.46 was purchased in part to serve this market. Its combination of extreme height (45.6m), EWP capability, and mobility lets us reach telecom installations that standard cranes and cherry pickers can't. And the 360-degree rotation means we can work around the tower structure rather than needing the tower to be directly above the machine's position.
What We Deliver
- Cell tower installation — new tower erection and equipment mounting
- Tower maintenance & upgrades — equipment swaps, antenna upgrades, structural work at height
- Fibre infrastructure — fibre cable installation under bridges and in locations where standard cable-laying equipment can't reach
- Equipment lifting — heavy telecoms equipment positioned at height using the Magni's crane capability
- Elevated work platform access — personnel safely positioned at tower height for installation and maintenance work
Nationwide Service
Telecommunications infrastructure isn't concentrated in Auckland. Towers are everywhere — rural, semi-rural, provincial, urban. We're set up to work across the country, bringing the Magni and the crew wherever the job is. Weekend work and out-of-hours scheduling for tower maintenance that needs to happen off-peak.
